MOLLAKARA PROJECT
General
It is located approximately 80 km southeast of Ağrı province, near the village of Mollakara in the Diyadin district. The Mollakara project will utilize open-pit ore crushing and screening, followed by heap leaching for gold recovery. The Environmental Impact Assessment was completed in August 2012, but operations at the site have not yet begun. Feasibility studies are ongoing for the project.
